Before we get to the giveaway, I'd like to introduce you to Danielle. Danielle is the beautiful and brilliant girl behind both the blog Sweet Southern Girl and Wired Essentials. Not only is she one of my large sponsors, but she is also one of my favorite bloggers and someone I'm happy to consider a friend. Let's get to know Danielle a little bit better with some interview questions:
How did you get started making these pretties, and how long have you been doing it?
About two years ago I met a girl through blogging who made jewelry and I started thinking, "I could do that." So I made a few things for myself and then friends started asking if I'd make some things for them. It sort of snowballed from there and I used youtube and craft blogs to teach myself new techniques.
When did you start Sweet Southern Girl (the blog) and what got you started?
Sweet Southern Girl is actually not my first blog. I started blogging anonymously about 4 years ago. After the first two years I was really enjoying the people I met and I wanted to be a little more open. So I rebranded and started this blog in February of 2012.
Lots of things, but I like to doodle when I'm bored and I like to use swirls and loops in my wire designs. I also like whimsical elements like birds and feathers. As you can see in my Robin's Nest Collection.
What gets you in the mood for creating?
Wine, haha. Just kidding. I do like to drink while I create but what really gets me excited is new color combinations and bringing other people's visions to life. I love it when a friend says, "I wish I could find something with this color, and that element that I could wear with this outfit."
I love red wine. My favorite at the moment is Robert Mondavi Scarlet Red. It's a blend and it's amazing! It's dry but it doesn't have the bite that a lot of dry wines tend to have. I'm serving it at my wedding in October. Another favorite is Barefoot Red Moscato. It's the perfect summer wine for me. It's got the flavor of a red but it's sweet and you serve it chilled.
What is your favorite creation you've ever made?
I don't even know how to choose! I love creating and every time I come up with something new it becomes my favorite. However right now I think my Tree of Life Earrings are my favorite. It's pretty detailed and time consuming, but I LOVE them.
