What is Musical Mondays?

Musical Mondays is a weekly linky party where we share a song we're into for the week, and talk about why we like it-or why it effects us. Along with talking about music, I host a month-long music related giveaway sponsored by wonderful people! Today I'm excited to share with you some music by this month's Musical Mondays sponsor, Chantilly. I met Chantilly through the blogging world, since she blogs over at Chantilly Songs. I don't know why it took me so long, but last month I downloaded her new EP Up to the Moon and have listened to it repeatedly! She has such a lovely voice and her lyrics are clever and flow really well. She's perfectly my favorite kind of music, and now I know I need to get her first album.

Not only is Chantilly a crazy-talented singer/songwriter and blogger, but she is also putting together a grassroots collective in NYC called the Noise Collective. She lives in Brooklyn, NY with her boyfriend and four cats, and has amazing fashion taste. Her blog not only covers music and style, but it also touches on cool local events (who doesn't want a taste of New York?), art, photography, and more. It's such a fun blog to follow!

I highly recommend you grab her new EP Up to the Moon (seriously, it's only $5 to download or $7 to get a physical copy of) and follow her blog. You wont regret it-I mean look how talented she is just in an acoustic YouTube video:

Both of these songs are from Up to the Moon, this one is called What You Do to Me. I seriously love them all though, I couldn't pick a favorite if I had to! I relied on her YouTube to choose these to share today!
