Here's a cute video of Kat walking between Courtney and I, and Courtney cheering her on and playing with her as her prize for walking. So cute!
On Saturday Ken (Kristi's husband) and the two kids came home from camping, along with the ex (who Kristina and I came up with a good name for him on this blog that I should change it to-but now I can't remember) and his kids, and Jan who I haven't seen in a long time. We hung out for a bit, but then the baby, Kristina, and I went shopping. After shopping we stopped by Jamba Juice to visit Courtney and Ashlee at work, and then went up to my friend Heather's who I haven't seen in a while and played with her kid and baby, and then after that they all came over to Kristina's house where we stayed up partying until about 2am. It was a lot of fun!
In other matters...
I received a ton of happy mail this weekend-that's always nice! When I returned home Sunday night I was pleased to find several packages waiting for me to open. First, my Books 'n' Bloggers swap package from Sandy over at Our Little Sunshines. She chose such great and clever books, I'm super excited to have them in my collection! She sent Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? by Mindy Kaling (which was on my wishlist), The Growing Tree by Shel Silverstein (a book she's read and loves), and Snail Mail My Email: Handwritten Letters in a Digital World by Ivan Cash (a book she thought I'd love-and she was right-this is awesome!) Thank you so much Sandy, I loved them all!

My Hellobox (hosted by Pink on the Cheek) partner for June was Lani from Elle Dee Designs, and she is so sweet and thoughtful! Look how adorable this mug is, I'm so in love with it! Thank you Lani!
Also here is my nail mail that came in this weekend. I'm on a Strict/No Buy for July (since I need to stop spending money on Nail Polish) but most of these were ordered prior to the month starting and just came in. So pretty! HITS Mari Moon, A England Briarwood and A England Briar Rose (which was sadly all goopy!), Finger Paints Art Dealer Teal, China Glaze Holographic Galactic Gray, China Glaze Holographic Cosmic Dust, and Amy's Nail Boutique Trendsetter.
How was your weekend?

ReplyDeleteHopping over from TTUT. Our 4th weekend was spent quietly at home. I'm just trying to come to grips with the months of time lost due to illness & recovery from surgery, but I'm so blessed to be doing soooo much better. Getting back into the groove of blogging has been slow at best, but I'm getting there little by little. :D
ReplyDeleteThe little book Snail Mail My Email looks like a cute read. All of our kids are grown, but during their early years I did a lot of letter writing. In fact, I got my daughters hooked on penpaling at young ages. I never could get my son to fall in love with this idea, though. Letter writing is all, but extinct. I hope your children's generation resurrect this time forgotten treasure. There is nothing quite like getting a hello through mail and it looks like you get some interesting goodies - chocolates, mug, nail polish,... What fun that must be!
gah just the cutest hello box! lani is amazing!!
