Leanne at Sock Monkey Momma tagged me to answer these questions, and I'm trying to share a little bit more about myself with you guys so I thought it would be fun! Here are 6 things to learn about me:
1. Is this how you thought your life would be?
The real question is, when in my life were we thinking about it? I mean when I was 6 I knew I wanted to be a writer (which I'm not really...) when I was older, but the year 2014 seemed so far away I really didn't think I'd still be alive for it... I guess in all honesty, no. I didn't expect to still be single at 27, just barely starting my college education (which is going to take forever working full time and only taking 2 classes at a time), or sitting behind a computer all day every day talking to people who don't know how to work theirs.
BUT do I hate my life how it is? No. I also never expected all the completely amazing and beautiful things like this blog and all of the wonderful people it's introduced me to, the friends in my life who are more like family, and the good fortune I have found despite not having all of the things I thought I would.
2. If money were no question I would purchase:
A cute house on my street. I love it-but houses are 300K+ in this area. Oh and this is my neighbors house that was for sale last year-so cute! They have huge back yards for being in the city. [photo source] Also, I'd quit my job and go to school full time (tuition is so expensive!) and also travel everywhere I could!
3. What's your drink of choice when out with girlfriends?
Beer! I know it's strange, but I've been just on a beer kick lately... I like beer and wine, though a Snakebite is also a favorite, but mostly a nice brewed cold one will get me by in any outing.
4. What do you love about yourself?
I love this blog-it's about myself. I love my eyes. My friends. My ability to bounce back when something knocks me down. I love that I love people, and that it's hard for me to hold a grudge.
5. Name one good deed that went unseen.
I try to do little things all the time that people might not realize. Letting people in (sometimes multiple people) during rush hour traffic, picking up something someone dropped, etc.
6. What hobbies do you have that you don't mention here?
Haha, there's not a lot I don't mention. I talk about just about everything... I could say the fact that I've watched Grey's Anatomy all the way from start to finish 9 times could be it... Usually lately it's just if I need something to fall asleep to-since I have most of it memorized. I also binge watch shows on Netflix. Right now I'm watching Desperate Housewives from start to finish-but I haven't been watching a lot of TV due to school and everything lately.
