I recently discovered a lovely shop on Etsy called Oyeta. After I started including her in my treasuries (because her stuff is utterly gorgeous) she discovered my blog and a partnership was born! So I am happy to have her here for Day 3!
How do you usually celebrate the holidays?
I live in Bali, Indonesia and we don’t really celebrate Christmas, so there’s no holidays for us here, just a normal everyday life but some hotels and restaurants and mall do decorate their property in Christmas theme beautifully. Perhaps we’ll go out and see some Christmas light and a giant Christmas trees at the mall or go to the beach at night for food bazaar and fireworks
Are you a Black Friday/Cyber Monday shopper?
If so, what are you planning to shop for those days this year?
Yes, I am a black Friday/ Cyber Monday online shopper on Etsy, there are too many beautiful things I’d like to buy and this year I’ll probably buy some pretty pillow cases to decorate my new couch and a geometric phone case to replace the old one.
What is your favorite holiday food?
I always love cookies and cake. I’d love to have more cookies this holiday :).
What's at the top of your holiday wishlist this year?
Hmmm I never had a holiday wishlist, I think I’ll start making one and a new computerized embroidery machine will be on top of my list!
What inspires your creations at Oyeta?
I grew up in a house full of handmade things. My mother used to sew and handmade almost everything from our clothing to house decoration. I started to love small pouches when I was in high school and had too many of them but never get enough, my mother taught me to sew one and I never stopped ever since. Friends started to recognize my handmade clutches and begin to order from me and then my etsy shop opened. Most of my inspiration comes from my surrounding and my love for fabric. I live in a house near the rice field and the view is stunningly beautiful especially when the paddy field turned yellow and ready to harvest, from there I was inspired to make a rustic and natural clutches made from linen fabrics. I also love flowers and therefore I create many floral cotton clutches.
What keeps you motivated to create and sell your lovely items?
It’s the lovely customer. I love it when someone bought my items and leave me a message that they loved it. Especially when it comes from people lived very far from me. I sell my handmade items worldwide and I have sent them to US, Canada, France, Australia, South Africa, Japan and many more and I hope someday I can travel to those beautiful country too.
Just look at how lovely her items are-and click on the photo to go to the listing!
This lovely shop is offering one winner their new fold-over clutch! Are you excited?
