It was one of those weeks at work where I'm pretty sure it gave me an ulcer, especially yesterday. There were a few points of the day so stressful that I though "Screw this I quit" which of course I'd never do... But still, it's sad when that becomes a "nice thought" simply because you need a reprieve. However, I am grateful for my job-just not the sour stomach.
I Confess...
I'm so not feeling well today, but I wasn't about to call in sick for work today of all days-my work is paying me to go to Superman this afternoon! I'm getting paid time while I'm there, and they bought the ticket. My job can be totally awesome sometimes.
I Confess...
It's my own fault I'm sick... I went to Pho with friends last night, and then after we stayed up late watching movies and eating junk food... Wine (Lambrusco), donuts, cheetos, and more (OH MY) do not make my stomach (or waistline) happy. When will I learn? My body woke me up a half hour before my alarm this morning because it was not happy.
I Confess...
I'm starting to feel super ditched by some of our friends... I am trying to let go gracefully since that's life-people move in and out of your life and when they go they go-but it's hard. It's mostly the coupled up friends-somehow all they want to do is hang out with other coupled up people. The roommate looked at me the other day and said "I'm starting to feel like you're my only friend." and I understood. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for them... I just don't understand how you disappear on all your friends who've been there for you because I'm not that way-I'm not someone who gets lost in relationships. But c'est la vie, right?
I Confess...
I screwed up my birth control, and now my body wants to start (TMI-but oh well) but I'm trying to fight it off by catching up on my BC... Mr. Bingo will be here next week and I don't want to be horribly crampy when I get to see him! NO. GO HOME UTERUS YOU'RE DRUNK.
On another note... Here's my mani for the week. Color Club Angel Kiss. Not as in love with it as I was with Halo-Graphic, but it's still a pretty holo. Here are different lighting photos-with flash, without flash, and sunlight.

Living in a college town, I've sort of come to terms with the friends moving in and out of our lives. It still stinks though.
ReplyDeleteI like the polish, might have to think about getting some for my toes this summer.
I'm loving those holo polishes. I might just have to order me some :) I feel you on that first confession. I'm ready to bail on my job too. Here's to a good weekend and you're stomach acting right again :)
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry that your married friends are going MIA. I know that my husband and I have tried really hard not to do that. Last night I just had a great talk with one of my single friends at a softball game. I think it's silly to think you can only be friends with people who are EXACTLY like you.
ReplyDeleteWhenever I drink more than like 1 thing I feel like such hell the next day, so I can totally empathize!
ReplyDeleteI really wish I could keep nail polish on for more than about 4 hours before it chips!

I'm sorry you're having some not fun things go on this week, but it sounds like next week will be better! Plus, that's some pretty awesome nail polish.
ReplyDeleteYour nails look AMAZING.
ReplyDeleteI had the opposite problem. We got married and all of a sudden my single friends didn't want to hang out. Got even worse when we had kids. :o(
I hope your stomach feels better.
I am groaning because I want one of these SOOOOOOOOOOOOO BADDD! Color Club's holos are freakin gorgeous and this one is no exception.
ReplyDeleteLove the nail polish and getting paid to watch Superman?! AWESOME! Also, I understand the whole friend thing. My husband and I have made the UTMOST effort to keep our single friends in the loop/doing this with us because we have had the whole "I'm in a relationship junk" happen to us with old friends. So sorry that's going on right now, but now you can totally have fun to invest in yourself and maybe meet some new friends. :)
ReplyDeleteYour "I confess" posts always crack me up :) And I hope you feel better!

Well you have a double-whammy for feeling bad, huh? You need to take some pep to, get a heating pad, make some hot tea and veg!
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about couples. What's really awkward is when your friends start divorcing because you almost always have to take sides! One thing that Trip and I have always done is couple stuff, and girlfriend/bro time. That way no one is left out.
I hope your weekend gets better!
xo,
RJ
Ok the nails are bloody cute.......I wish I had nice nails..........sometimes........now not good that you felt sick but sometimes I think it is good to go to work sick shows the bosses you are relaible also if you are really sick and they send you home you don't need to get a dr ceritifcate.......
ReplyDeleteI had one of those weeks, too. That's the crappy part of working for yourself; you can't quit.
ReplyDeleteLet's make a pact. Neither one of us is going to touch the junk food this week.
I hope you get that cramp situation sorted out. Those things always seem to happen before vacations, weddings and visits from cute boys.
Thanks for joining the Friday Confessional party. Have a fabulous weekend.
I am sorry you had one of those weeks. I understand what you mean about losing friends. I had the opposite when I married my first husband nearly all of my friend (it was my senior year in college) excluded me. They never invited me to do anything because they thought I did not want to since I am married now. I do not get it, I am not that way. I hope things get better for you soon.
ReplyDeleteI admit to being guilty of the coupled up thing. I still like hanging with my single friends (of which there are startlingly few), but there's always a concern over y accidentally rubbing it in their face that they're single. :/
ReplyDeleteOr that used to happen, back when I could have a social life and all.
Try a detox cleanse this weekend! LOTS of water, root-based teas (like dandelion root) and only fresh vegetables for a day and you'll be sorted out. The uterus....meh....good luck!
I am IN LOVE with the holographic nail trend. I totally need to get my hands on that polish!
ReplyDeleteI think I stopped watching PLL after the 2nd season (mistake) and now I have no idea where I am because they do these damn summer and winter seasons.
