Book Review: Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn

★★★★★ What I thought:

I'd been warned that this book was "twisted" by fellow readers, so of course I had to check it out to see what the fuss was all about. After getting about half way through the book "twisted" seemed like the best definition for what was happening on the pages I was turning; but after completing the book-it seems almost an inadequate word.

It was a little slow for me to get into at first, as it was a different writing style than I was used to, but as soon as I got into it I was hooked and had to know what would happen next... Right up until the ending, which I hated-but I think you're supposed to. You hate it, but then you think "that's so very human-and extremely messed up, which makes it even more human."  I'd recommend reading it if you're into mystery, or love a good twisted tale.
