I ate pretty poorly yesterday. Starbucks for breakfast (though I ordered nonfat milk) and that I did the same today, only slightly more healthy food from there. But yesterday was my Dad's Bday and we went to Golden Corral for dinner... I may or may not have eaten a bunch of fried food... Hush puppies and Tillapia to be exact.
I Confess...
That I did come home and hula hoop for about a half hour to 45 minutes after that.
I Confess...
I have pushed the furniture around in my living room so I can hoop in there and not be embarrassed about people seeing me hoop...
I Confess...
That I didn't really hula hoop. It was more like a game of "drop-and-pick-up-the-hula-hoop-over-and-over-again." Though I did get pretty out of breath, because I was doing it so angrily.
I Confess...
I may have dropped the F-bomb every time I dropped the hoop!
I Confess...
I may have also bawled for 20 minutes after dropping the hula-hoop a million times. I got so frustrated and just couldn't hold back the tears. Luckily no one else was home...
I Confess...
My abdomen is rather bruised from not being used to hula-hooping.
I Confess...
I'm super frustrated with my hips. They don't seem to want to move with any kind of fluidity. Isha told me I needed to get my "thrusting down" and I can't help but think my year-long celibacy has left me inept at the thrusting and moving properly. BAH!
I Confess...
My roommates (my new neighbors count as roommates since we will be back and forth all the time and we're one big happy family) all tried my hula hoop and they made it look so freaking easy. This frustrated me too.
I Confess...
On the upside, after hanging out with the gorgeous Elisa last night after she moved in, I'm SUPER excited for Elisa and Julie to be living right through the wall. We'll be like one big awesome-sauce family.
What do you have to confess?
Run on over and link up!
Darling, you ARE a hooper, you just gotta find your groove! But the fact that you're getting bruised means you're doing something right! Have you tried watching some tutorials on youtube yet? I bet that'll help you :)
ReplyDeleteXoXo
Don't worry about the occasional backslide into fried foods. Just makes it easier to eat better that next time.
ReplyDeleteHula hooping is way harder than it looks! My hubs is better at it then I am and I'm okay with that, since pretty much reap the benefits.
I can't hula hoop at all, so I hear ya! I'm sure if you practice you'll get it.
ReplyDeleteI've been dreaming about Golden Corral's sweet and smoky ribs. Must. Stay. Away.
sounds like me. i bet you will get the hang of it - just don't give up!
ReplyDeleteWe're all in that together, right? I'm sure I'll be doing the EXACT same thing as soon as I get my hoop. And I'm so proud of you for sticking with it despite it being frustrating.
ReplyDeleteYay for new neighbors and new challenges! Maybe it will help if you take a wider stance while thrusting? (As Jessie J would say, Do it Like a Dude). :)
I can't hulahoop either. I can't even hulahoop via the Wii!
ReplyDeletehaha you'll get the hang of it i'm sure!
ReplyDeleteI confess.....that i didn't get up untill 10am this morning!!!! and that was only because the telephone rang.....!!
I can ONLY hula hoop on the Wii. Don't feel too bad about that. Maybe you can find a good lookin man friend to get your gyrating hips back in shape LOL. (Or just keep on trying to hula hoop... there's so much less drama with that!)
ReplyDeleteGood luck hon!
ReplyDeleteMy name is Harlynn, and I'm a hula hoop addict.
Been on the hoop for 2 years. Have used the hoop daily...
The thought of hooping gives me the urge to stop typing, even though I know I'll just go and...isolate...
There have been times I caught myself lose track of time, because I lost myself in the hoop.
I've damaged my mother's house from my addiction.
I make hoops, in fact I've never bought any off the street...but am eager to asap. I just can't help myself, it's self medicating.
I confess I love puns.
