Update on my 30 Days of Awesome
Awesome Day 6
Day 6 was mostly awesome at work. Shocking right? I'm starting to make friends at work and I really like it! I sat with Mary at the meeting (2 hours outside in the October air = COLD) and then we both sat with Patricia and Alyssa for the luncheon. It was good food, and lots of fun to chat with the girls at work about things that weren't work related!
Day 7
After work on day 7, Kristina and I made a trip over to my favorite store-Hobby Lobby! We were on a mission to find leaves to put up on Kaden's ceiling, to go along with the jungle theme and the green walls we'd painted a few weeks ago. Well, it turns out that leaves are really expensive, so we were lucky (with the help of darling Emily) enough to find rolls of paper with a leaf print on it! We trekked home to get our crafty-designer-ness on!
We ended up getting sticky foam tape to put it up, and that was the easy part! The hard part was trying to get it around light fixtures and the fact that this ceiling is extremely ugly and shaped funny, so getting the paper around some of the corners was a pain! There are bits that look a bit like we were wrapping a present!
However, when all was said and done, it turned out pretty well! If you lay down and look at the ceiling it looks like he's sleeping under a canopy of leaves! I like it!
Here's the happy kid that gets to sleep in the room! He kept saying "iss booeyful mamma and agjee!" (In Kaden-speak he said "it's beautiful momma and Angie!" lol) This is his blue colored face, because we also grabbed him a sucker while we were out and about.
