Kristina Kingsly is 12 and having a rough time of it.  She has a hard time making friends, she's clutsy and teased a lot, but when a teacher shows her a little love with a special Christmas gift, she is tossed into a world of fantasy where she encounters creature she never thought existed.

The place is called Bernovem, and is filled with creatures such as gnomes, dwarves, fairies and even an evil queen.  In this world where everything is different than she knows, she is surprised to find that she's no longer the object of ridicule and strangely enough she's gone from outcast to "the chosen one".  She must take the Magic Warble to it's final resting place in order to save this new found place and her new found friends.

This was a fun little read filled with colorful adventure and cute little characters.  This would be ideal for any boy or girl to read, as underneath it all I get the strong message of being capable of anything-even if you don't think you're anything special.  It's a cute little self esteem boost too!
