Spice Up Your Day

Labor day has come and gone, and with it marks the end of summer and a winter long ban on wearing white shoes.  Usually by this time of year I'm so ready to be done with summer, but the turning of the seasons feels a bit bitter sweet to me this time.  For some unknown reason, it's bitter because I don't feel ready to let go of summer and all the warmth and possibility it holds.

However, last night I lay in my bed snuggled up in my blankets with a book in hand and caught a whiff of  that familiar sweet autumn smell on the breeze as it came in through my window.  All at once my heart came alive again and I was filled with excitement for what was coming.

Then, when checking my email today, I opened one from B&N that had the following:

Tell me your excited too?!?!?!

Now I must have one.  MUST.  I'm sooooooo excited for it!

How about you?
Are you ready for the seasons to change?

  1. I'm torn about the seasons changing. I love fall. But I don't really feel like we had a real summer.

  5. I've been feeling the same way! I'm not ready to let summer go...but to see that Pumpkin spice is here again makes me so excited for fall....I'm torn. So incredibly torn.

Do a pumpkin spice chai latte.
You'll die and really be in heaven.
    It is bliss.
And now I want one. lol

Get your last bit of sunshine in! It'll be gone too soon!

  6. I feel like embracing Fall right now means cutting off the extra time in each day that I've been using to get chores done. I love the Fall, but I'm not going to be ready for it until Mabon. ;)

(but now you've got me thinking about pumpkin spice lattes and apple cider and cooking spicy things as the leaves change...OoOoOoO)

  7. I used to be addicted to Jamba Juice's Pumpkin Smash! I don't know if they even make it any more. And now I'm craving it! But what if they've discontinued it? Or it's not available yet?? Do you realize the kind of AGONY you will put me through?!?

    :)

  8. P.S.
I like Fall the best because there's nothing better to me than chilly mornings, preferably rainy ones. AND it's my birthday month so I get to celebrate for the next several weeks.

  11. I'm sad to see summer go, it's my favorite season but there are a lot of great things about fall. I'm enjoying being able to come home and light my candles and snuggle up on the couch after work and hiking is always so much nicer in the fall. I'm excited to start getting pictures with the fall leaves!

Oh and I love mums and fall decorations, so I'm excited to start decorating for harvest. :)
