Did You Say It?

Yes, once again I have an excerpt from a TV show that really hit me hard... I was feeling a little down, and Kristina and I watched the season finale of Grey's. At the end, this is what is said:
"Did you say it?
I love you.
I don't ever want to live without you.
You changed my life.
Did you say it?

Make a plan.
Set a goal, work toward it.
But every now and then look around.
Drink it in.

Because this is it.
It might all be gone tomorrow."

They always say to live every day like it's going to be the last one. Does anyone ever really follow this? I try to; I try to let everyone I care about know just how much I love them on a continual basis. If I have specific feelings for someone, I try to tell them without dragging it out because you never know when you're going to be getting the chance again. If I were to be gone tomorrow, I'd like to know that everyone knew just how much they had meant to me.

On that same note, I try to take chances. I try to jump in, live life to the fullest, and experience as much as I am able to experience. If it were the other way around, and someone dear to me was gone tomorrow, I would want to have been able to say that I experienced my time with them to the fullest. Regret is something I try to live my life without, but should I have not taken a risk and told someone or tried something and then they were gone, I know I would have regrets. The fact that I let fear hold me back would eat me up inside; the knowledge that I'd never have another shot at it, would haunt me until the day I died.

Sometimes I watch my friends and family, and I see them hold themselves back when they're afraid. This is the point where I council them to jump in, ignore the fear, and experience things. There has been many a time that I've said

"I would rather try and fail, than live my life with what ifs always following me around."

Sometimes I want to shake them, and tell them that they'll never know unless they try. Life is to be lived to the fullest, not just watching from the sidelines because you're too afraid to get a little dirty.

This also leaves me wondering, if I were gone tomorrow, would those I love feel like they experienced their time with me to the fullest? Or would they have regrets over things they had not done or said to me?

I refuse to leave things unsaid, and I refuse to have any regrets. I love you all, and if it were all over tomorrow, I'd want you to know just how much you have mattered in my life, and how much I am changed because of it. Leave nothing unsaid, leave nothing unexplored, and make sure you are fulfilled, because tomorrow may never come.
