Random Tuesday Thoughts!

Thought #1: It is my second day of work, and now I'm done with training and out on the floor taking phone calls. Training was really just a review, since I've worked here before, only 4 months ago. However, as I was bored in training and wishing to just jump back into the action, I over-estimated my ability to "ride the bike again." I made a big mistake and sent a call upstairs on accident, which is a big no-no, and I've had a few frazzled "How do I do this again?" moments while on the phone with customers. It's going to take me a few days to get back into the groove.

Thought #2: Kristina and I are painting Kaden's room green. It's adorable! We bought a bright green color for the walls, and a dark green color for the trim. The idea is that we're going to buy fake leaves and stick them to the ceiling, and then paint trees and monkey's on the walls so that it looks like he's sleeping in a jungle. It's pretty rad. I'll post pictures when it's done.

Thought #3: My coworkers Bryce and Ian saw me blogging and wanted me to say something about them in here. LOL, so um... Yeah. Bryce and Ian everyone! :P

Thought #4: I really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really want my own place. I love my grandmother, and I love staying at Ken and Kristina's, but I'm DYING (can't you tell by all the reallys I put in there?) to have my own space. My own room, in an apartment/place that I share with two awesome roomies. Josh and Jon are moving in with me, and so we're looking for a 3 bedroom. However, I don't get paid until the 9th of October, so I have to survive until then... I can't wait! :P

Thought #5: It's cold outside. I mean colder than I would have expected for Septemeber. It definitely feels like fall, and I've always been a person that likes cold more than hot, but I'm not liking the cold very much. Maybe I got used to the heat this summer in Lake Powell and So. California? Though, I am LOVING the smell and feel of fall in the air, which is pretty much what the cold is anyway. It's a love/hate relationship here, but it will be more fun as I can start getting into wearing wintery things and playing in the leaves! Did you see my new background for Halloween/fall? Pretty!

Thought #6: My baby-sister's bridal shower is Saturday. That's weird. I still need to get my dress off of Layaway, but hopefully I don't have to do too much more for the wedding. Brides are crazy! For reals!

Thought #7: I think I'll end here (7 is a good number) with something exciting... I have a super-awesome coffee date on Sunday! I'm almost counting down the days... No really, I'm a little giddy. :P

Fall Favorites

It's time for Mama Kat's Writer's Workshop again, and the prompt I chose this week was "Your Fall Favorites." So here they are!

The colors!
I love the fall and all of the many colors you see on the trees!
I love the autumn leaves as they drift down from their branches and scatter the ground under your feet. I love to see them along the walk way, and in piles on lawns, and just anywhere!

Pumpkins!
Just seeing this orange gourds out on porches and in fields makes me want to squeal with glee!
I can't wait to go pumpkin hunting, and find the one with the most character and take it home with me. I'll have to get two, one to carve and one to just adore.

Halloween Costumes!
OK, let's just say Halloween in general. It's my ABSOLUTE favorite Holiday!
But also, costumes especially, because once a year it's fun to dress up and be someone who you aren't in real life.

Sexy boots.
It seems that once the weather starts to turn, I have an excuse to wear sexy boots.

Sweaters!
I am SO excited to find some fashionable sweaters and get to wear them.
On that note, the cooler weather is on this list here too!

Scarves
I've always loved them, but have recently discovered the big fashion flowy kind. It was love at first sight. I have a red and a turquoise, but now I want a plaid one like here!

I'm absolutely in love with it. I wish I knew how to knit, then I could make one, but unfortunately I don't, so I will probably order it when I have some money.

Fall TV.
Yes, I'm excited for more shows.
Since my True Blood and Weeds is over, I'll have to find something else to keep up with.

Love love love this show! Joss Whedon = God.
Besides, I could watch Eliza Dushku for hours, plus rumor has it that Joss got Summer Glau for this season. You remember her right? River from Firefly?

Dexter
Premiers: Sunday, Sept. 27th

HOT Serial Killer.
I was a little bored with last season, but the rumors I've heard about the new season are good. Apparently there's a leaked first episode out there, and it's dealing with his baby! I hear it's good, and so I'm excited!

Fall Movies
We all know we love movies right?

Where the Wild Things Are

It was one of my absolute favorite books as a kid, and I even still have it!

I love it, I really do.
IMDB shows it listed for October, but doesn't give an exact date. I kind of doubt it'll be out then, but let's keep our fingers crossed!

Basically a whole bunch of people took photos of what they were doing at the same time all around the world. It was for a statement of peace. This was my photo, as I was getting ready to go out with David and Kasey and I was just doing my make-up.

I found this new blogging community, and I really dig it so far!


This video rocks so hard! It's new Depeche Mode, and I like the song, but even better it's True Blood! And it's HOT! Check it out! The season finale was a little choppy, but I can't wait for the next season to begin!

OK, so I recently signed up with World Financial Group to learn about Financial Consulting, and hopefully find a job. Well, I really don't think I'm cut out for it at all. I think the company is great, I think it all sounds on the up-and-up, I just don't think I can generate leads, and go out and work for commission. It's insane. I'm not the salesman type. So I called my mentor today and I told him I was ready to quit, and that I couldn't afford to take the test, and that I really need to just focus on finding a real, full-time, steady job. He convinced me to go out on a few appointments and see what I thought after that. So I guess I'll give it a go, we're going up to Ken and Kristina's on Thursday, so hopefully that helps me decide one way or the other what I want to do.

Also, Josh has informed me that he's all ready to move and stuff. SO AM I. I'm ready to move soooo bad, but I just need a steady job to be able to get going and find an apartment and have loads of fun doing so! Damn! I've been sending out like 15 resumés a week. I sent out 20 just last night! Someone send me some luck here...
