My Top 10 Favorite Drag Race Contestants

I'm not usually a person that goes for Reality TV.  I love knowledge based documentary shows and paranormal stuff like Fact or Faked-but not really "reality" TV.  Until... RuPaul's Drag Race.  Voila!  Suddenly I'm addicted.  It's like crack-I have to see what they'll come up with next and what train wreck or fashion extravaganza will occur on the next episode.  The roommate and I soared through seasons two and three to catch up, watched four and five as they were on, recently watched All Stars and are currently meeting up with some fantastic friends every Wednesday to make our way through seasons six.

It's amazing to me how you can pick a character on the first day of the show and think that they're the one that are going to be your girl-but then absolutely hate them by the end of the show.  On that same though, the person you thought was just a bitchy queen on day one may end up being your absolute favorite *cough* Bianca *cough* as you get to see their real heart and talent.

So without further ado, I present my top 10 favorite contestants, but I must warn that I have not yet been able to watch season one-so I can't include them in the mix at all.

10 | ADORE DELANO | SEASON 6 RUNNER UP

I'll admit, I didn't care much for Adore when the season started.  She was young and a bit whiney, and that valley girl voice is a bit grating.  However, as the season went on I really started to adore her (pun intended) and was really happy she ended up in the top 3.  I like to think she was the first runner up, and Courtney 2nd.

9 | CHAD MICHAELS | SEASON 4 RUNNER UP & ALL STARS WINNER

Chad is one polished queen who does a killer Cher impersonation.  She totally deserved the All Stars crown.

8 | MANILA LUZON | SEASON 3 RUNNER UP

Manila is pretty, and she always seemed pretty nice and outgoing.  I enjoyed watching her on All Stars too!

7 | PANDORA BOXX | SEASON 2 MISS CONGENIALITY

Pandora would have been higher on this list as I totally wanted her to win when I watched season 2, but then I saw her on All Stars and was disappointed that she just gave up because she was partnered with Mimi.  I feel like she could at least have fought for it.  I love her though, and enjoy keeping up with her online.

6 | BENDELACREME | SEASON 6 MISS CONGENIALITY

BenDeLaCreme was adorable and a fan favorite.  Before even seeing the episode where he was eliminated it was spoiled as people were starting petitions and were outraged about it!  Then I watched the episode, and I can see why he was sent home.  Don't get me wrong, he's great-but Darienne (ugh) really turned it out.

5 | RAVEN | SEASON 2 & ALL STARS RUNNER UP

Raven was feirce, but still had a big heart.  I loved watching him interact, whether he was reading someone or bonding with someone in the dressing room-he was just fun and so different! 

4 | LATRICE ROYALE | SEASON 4 MISS CONGENIALITY

Latrice is my favorite big girl from the show.  She was caring and talented and who can forget "Jesus is a biscuit, let him sop you up!" as he sang it as loud as he could and got people dancing?  Fun! 

3 | JYNKX MONSOON | SEASON 5 WINNER

Jinkx was my favorite right from the beginning and I'm so glad he made it all the way to the win!  This adorable Seatlelite totally deserved the title and even had his own mantra: "Water off a duck's back!"

2 | JUJUBEE | SEASON 2 & ALL STARS

While Jujubee was always a favorite from season 2, it was All Stars when I first realized she was also my spirit animal during her opening introduction when she said "I like long walks on the beach, fried chicken, and big dicks!"  I couldn't help but laugh, and... well, relate.  Hahahaha! What else does a girl need?

1 | BIANCA DEL RIO | SEASON 6 WINNER

Confession-I didn't like Bianca in the first couple of episodes.  I thought she was just a snarky bitch who was going to complain the whole time.  But then the season got going, and little by little you found that was just her humor-she's amazing at reading people and she speaks the truth.  You have to respect that! Then more and more you got to see how big of a heart she really had, especially as she did things she didn't have to do like help out the other contestants and she started playing mamma bear to a few of them.  I'm not sure another queen has deserved the crown quite so much as Bianca did, and the cheer in the bar when she won was great!  I love love love her for everything she is-and she's probably the funniest one in my opinion!

Dream Catchers, Lazy Weekends, & If I Won the Lottery...

This weekend was mostly spent just relaxing and working on a little art.  I'm feeling extremely overwhelmed with life and bills lately, and October was such a busy month that I couldn't bring myself to do much this weekend.

Friday night consisted of Pho with friends, and then drinking wine and watching movies.  Pho, wine, and friends make me happy!

Saturday wasn't much of anything either.  The minute I got out of bed I started working on painting more dream catchers.  After painting we went to Scaddy's for dinner and I treated myself to a Cookie Dough milkshake for a pick me up.  Cookie dough milkshakes and my art make me happy!

Sunday was lazy too, but we did go to the Blue Plate where I had a delicious Salmon club and then came home and uploaded all of the dream catchers to my etsy shop.

I already have a bunch of these, but they're quite possibly the most comfortable thing in my wardrobe. I wear them by themselves (mostly just at home), or under my sweater, or under a cardigan/button up shirt.  They're fantastic, they hug all the right curves, they're super soft,  and they come in gorgeous colors like this blue! 

#9 Wedge Flip Flops

I love me some wedge flip-flops.  I used to get them all the time at Walmart (except I hate walmart) where they had a multitude of awesome colors.  But you can find them at Old Navy too (bonus-no Hellmart!).  They give you a nice lift (Ladies, it makes your butt look good!) and puts enough padding between you and the ground that you don't feel every rock you step on, which happens with some flip-flops.  Love them!

These are my new obsession, and I have about 20 of them made so far, so if you want one let me know.  I plan on getting my Etsy shop up and running soon, and then they'll be available to purchase there as well.  I've been making them with all sorts of fabric, and all sorts of center decor.  I love it!

I bought a few of these last summer at the Farmer's Market and I LOVE them.  They're just fabric, that tie together in the back and velcro so they wont slip.  I love that they're not raised like most headbands, because they don't bother my glasses or sunglasses when I'm wearing them.  It's AWESOME!

Thirsday Thirteen: Technical Support

Today, in the spirit of it being October 15th, which for me (and a lot of the country) means business. It's the last day to file returns that were extended beyond April 15th. Since I work for a company that handles software for taxes, I'm getting some nice overtime and a few calls today. That is why I decided to base my Thursday Thirteen on work.

13 Things I Say Most at Work

1. Is it plugged in? You wouldn't believe it, but a lot of the time when people have a computer problem, the computer isn't plugged in or turned on. It's not working? Go figure!
2. When was the last time you upgraded? We release updates for our software on a continual basis. During tax season, it's easily a few times a day. So if you haven't upgraded in 3 months, there's a fair chance that it's outdated.
3. Are you connected to the Internet? Guess what, you can't upgrade properly or send me your file to look at if your internets aren't working. Oh, and if you're still using dial-up, I'd think it's time to leave the stone-ages!
4. Do you have any red audits? Our program puts red audits out to tell you if their is something wrong with your return before you can electronically file it.
5. When was the last time you restarted your computer? Unfortunately Windows needs to be restarted every now and again, and even more unfortunately, our program doesn't run on Mac.
6. Do you have any Firewalls or Antivirus Software? These things block stuff from transmitting and working properly most of the time.
7. Have you upgraded to Windows Internet Explorer 8? Yeah, it's not compatible with everything yet. We have to stick it in the compatibility view...
8. What is your Operating System? Yes, believe it or not, there are lots of programs that don't run on Windows 95 anymore.
9. What does the error say? Client: I received an error closing the program. Me: Ok, what did the error say? Client: I don't know. Me: Can you recreate it? Client: Can't you just fix it? Me: Not if I don't know what the error is... Client: Why don't you know what the error is? Me: *facepalm*
10. You'll need to call the IRS for that. No, I can't tell you what the tax law is. I'm not a CPA.

I just love Amy, she's so adorable.  Recently I watched her in Leap Year and Julie & Julia, and while they were both very different characters, she's charming and sweet in both.  I think she's adorable.

I first liked her in The Devil Wears Prada as the bitchy assistant, and then I started respecting her as an actress even more when I saw her in Sunshine Cleaning co-staring with Amy Adams (#19) and playing an entirely different role.  I think she's gorgeous, and elegant in almost every way.

I used to listen to her CD over and over (except for skipping the "I Kissed A Girl" song, because it got old fast!) and love her look.  She usually has this  punky 50's look that really works for her.

Oh yes, Lena Headey who I first recognized as beautiful in 300 staring alongside Gerard Butler.  They were awfully gorgeous together, but I have to say when she costarred along side Piper Perabo (#15) in Imagine Me & You, they made an even more gorgeous couple!

Also starring in Imagine Me & You (one of my fave movies) alongside Lena Headey (#16) she is most known for Coyote Ugly, which was a fun movie too!  She also played a young lesbian struggling with love in Lost and Delirious.  I just think she has a different look and is totally gorgeous!

Many of you may recognize her as Penny from Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, but she also has her own web show called The Guild.  Not to mention the super-hot (and super-geeky) music video she did called "Do You Want To Date My Avatar?"  She's geeky-hot, and she has an awesome personality to back it up.

I have loved Evanescence since they first came out years ago, and I remember being a teenager and my techie (drama club) friends blaring it in the theatre while we sang along on stage.  Her music is hauntingly beautiful, and so is she!

The bad-ass zombie killer herself.  She's so gorgeous, and she's totally hardcore in the Resident Evil movies.  You know me, I love a good Zombie-flick, so this heroin totally has earned herself a spot in the top 20.  Not to mention the first time we all noticed her in The Fifth Element.

Yes, this totally comes from my little guilty pleasure Grey's Anatomy.  She's the curvy and bold Dr. Callie Torres, who first gets cheated on by her husband and then becomes a lesbian.  I really like her, because she's more voluptuous and I like seeing someone who's not stick-thin in Hollywood.

Who doesn't think Alyssa Milano is attractive?  I don't think I've met anyone.  She's quirky and cute, and has been in a ton of things!  Most notably Charmed, where she played Pheobe, one of the witches.  Personally, I remember loving her as a little girl in The Canterville Ghost.

Possibly the only really blonde one on my list.  I tend to prefer brunettes or red heads, but I just love Kate Hudson.  She seems to have a presence that lights up the room! My favorite film with her is How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days.

Buffy anyone?  Ok yes, Buffy is another one of those shows I've loved since I was a little kid, and Willow was my favorite!  She was so totally dorky, yet so totally hot at the same time!  What geek girl wouldn't idolize her?  You know, except for when Willow went all evil and stuff...

This girl is gorgeous, and I actually drew this shot once in high school, I'll have to post it on here sometime. From Armageddon to The Lord of the Rings, she's gorgeous and classy!

I love love love this woman in Weeds, but I happen to love love love that show!  In my opinion, she's the ultimate MILF and looks absolutely fantastic all the time.  I hardly recognized her as the mom figure in Saved! or The Spiderwick Chronicles.
