Musical Mondays: Dancing On My Own & HBO's Girls

Does anyone else watch Girls?  Oh man-I know.  Josh and I tried to watch it together once and we just kind of went "meh" and moved on, but since I subscribed to HBONow to watch GoT-I gave it another chance... And I ended up watching all four seasons in a little over a week.  I just got hooked! 

Lena Dunham's character Hannah is a mess. I mean, that girl is so incredibly awkward and sometimes down-right disgusting, but aside from the gross stuff I find myself (or rather the 23/24 year old me) relating to her quite a bit.  She's incredibly awkward, always chooses the absolute wrong men to date, and finds her way back into the arms of those same men repeatedly.  I can't count the times I wanted to yell at the screen "stop being stupid!" and without giving too much away, I was really really proud of her at the end of season 4.  Way to go girl!

I don't really relate to any of the other characters in the show very much, they're all pretty extreme versions of real girls, but they are still very entertaining to watch.  My friend described it as a "more realistic Sex and the City" and I think that definition definitely fits.
