Thursday night started the first of three days of what was practically the snowpocolypse around here.  When I left work it was gloomy and gray but not even storming yet, by the time I finished up my 45 minute drive home the roads were nearly too slick to drive on and it was coming down pretty hard out there.

Friday I worked from home due to the snow.  We had 14 inches by about 10am, and I was grateful I hadn't tried to drive into the office-even though working from home on a tiny netbook is frustrating!

Friday night after work we had Bingo, and Julie and I had gone shopping together a few days before for stuff because we were donating prizes.  We found these awesome hats-which I totally would have bought if I ever thought I'd wear them again...

Bingo was a lot of fun, even though there weren't very many people due to the raging storm outside.  Sadly it was Anna Nichole Sniff's last day with us (he's moving to St. Louis to marry his fiance and live happily ever after) so we had to say goodbye.

Saturday I had a date.  First I went shopping at Torrid and found an amazing dress that was super flattering and made me look HOT, and paired it with wine-colored tights I also picked up.  I wore this with my black shrug and black boots, and I looked super pretty.  The date went pretty well... This guy seems nice (though he was really sick) and we went to dinner, then coffee, then the museum, and finally ended up at Dees for more coffee and just someplace to sit and talk.

Sunday we went to breakfast at the Bay Leaf since it is closing next Sunday and that would be the last time we get to eat there.  Then after we went an on impromptu drive up the canyon to Evanston.  It was nice to drive up there (even though it was freezing.  It was -17 in some places!) and fun to spend time with friends.

The whole weekend made me happy.  It was a ton of fun!
The only thing not happy was that I didn't exercise or eat very well all weekend. Boo.

  5. I can't believe all the snow! I love seeing pictures of snow, and the first few minutes of being in it; but when it comes to having to travel somewhere in it all those fuzzy feelings about it disappear.

    I love your dress!

  7. Glad your date went well. Where you do live again? That's a lot of snow. I live in Kansas, although we CAN get that much snow, this year hasn't been that bad. I think last winter we hardly got any. But I'm not complaining! Torrid is a great place to shop, love it.

  9. I love the dress! I actually kind of miss the huge snowstorms when I lived in SLC. But only when they actually happen in the winter. It's the snowstorms in September and April that make me glad I moved.
