It's seriously crazy what adopting can do for a pet. When we got Rocket, he had fleas, three kinds of parasites, ear infections, allergies...now he's definitely a healthier and happier dog. It's crazy to me that some people choose not to adopt, but to buy their dog.
This is why I could never work in animal control. Seeing animals suffer like this, even knowing that the "after" can happen, would break my heart more than I could stand. And, honestly, images like this are one of the reasons I encourage volunteering at an animal shelter- no living things deserves torture.
Some of those made me so sad. How do people think it is ok to treat animals that way. The doggie you choose this Summer is going to be one lucky pooch!
aww this is sad. i want every single one of these little animals to find a good home. it just breaks my heart seeing so many sad animals all at once.
