♥ That coworker that was driving me insane? He quit. Work is so much more peaceful now.

- Benefits of keeping it: People who don't have blogger can comment, more of the outside word can leave feedback.
- Disadvantages: People are pussies and don't own up to what they say, I'm leaving it open for more negative comments, and TROLLS. Yes, the anon yesterday was simply a troll.

NaNoWriMo - why are you the second person to say that? I that is was a plo mo thing? I wrote m-f. It's my job. I take weekends off. I will not work overtime. I don't care if it's an awesome job. I write my ass off.

You can log in without a blogger account (I'm using my google account right now...) Anyone with a blog can comment. Or, use a word verification. That pisses the trolls off. Alternately, put an approval on all posts.
ReplyDeleteI just approve all my posts. However, that wasn't what prompted it. People were commenting on really old posts and I had no way of knowing until I added the approve feature. Now, I know. It makes it even easier now that I know WHICH post they are commenting on... before I had to GUESS. That was fun...

Not having tv, I'm interested in The Walking Dead, but have to wait for the DVD. However, I have to know....did they ever explain yet why the main character

isn't bitten even though he wakes up in a hospital (which, presumably, has dead folk in it)? Plot devices like that (also used in 28 days) bother me because there is no logic. :)

SPOILER - Yes, because the zombies are attracted to sound before any of their other senses, so he was in a coma and not making any sound at all so he didn't draw any attention to him.

PS: I hate anonymous comments, because A) even when they're nice, they're creepy because you have no idea who's saying it... and B) it allows stupid trolls to say mean things without having to give themselves a name. Cowards.

ReplyDeleteCassandra - It was so creepy, yet so cool (IMO) I'm thinking about it too... I toyed with it... I ended up only changing it so posts older than 3 days require approval, but that's just so I can know when something gets commented on.
I've heard about The Walking Dead for awhile now from different people. I think I may catch up on the episodes on Hulu so that I can follow along for the rest of the season.

i've never allowed anonymous comments, and when I was on Blogger I set it to ask for approval on posts that were older than 2 weeks. That cuts out the spam.
