Clumsy Card House (MM)

This week's song:

Clumsy Card House
by Blue October

***

No, this doesn't have a lot of personal meaning or everything this week, I just thought the song sounded really pretty.  Haven't we all felt this way at some point in our lives?

I may not be ready to start dating again, or to fall in love, but listening to this song reminds me that I wont feel like this forever.  Eventually I will feel like the song states and want it again.  For now, enjoy. :)

What are you listening to this week?
Don't forget if you link up with me you get more entries into the big giveaway at the end of the year! It'll be fun and music related!

Masks, African Food, & Drag Queens

First, I'm happy that I have such great bloggy buddies.  I received an envelope from sweet Beth on Wednesday, with a nice card and TARDIS EARRINGS!  They're so pretty, thank you Beth!

I had another great weekend with my friends.  They really are awesome and I am so lucky to have them!

I totally went on a shopping spree last week.  I bought some Floral Wedges and a hippie tanktop at my first Ross trip, then a stripey top/cardi combo and a salmon colored shrug on my second, and then yesterday I bought some Moccasins and some new black strappy wedges.  :)

Thursday we went out for Pho again with Jon, The Roomie, and Atheist David.  It was yum, I really love Pho.

Saturday morning we got up and went for Pancakes, and then went to the costume shop to browse about for ideas for Maxies new gig as a guard.  We were amusing ourselves with the masks.

After we dropped Maxie off to get ready for his appearance later that evening, Julie, The Roomie, and I went out for African food.  It was very yummy, and a unique experience.

After food we then made an unscheduled trip to the Paper Moon to see the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence with their first Manifestation.  They were so much fun!  FYI, don't eat a bunch of African food and then drink two creamy alcoholic beverages really fast and dance around.  You will want to barf.

Sunday we lounged a bit and then Max and I decided to go check out Pib's Exchange, which was a really cool store.  I also bought a new hoop there from Salty Hoops.  The circumference is a lot smaller than the ones I got from Haley over at Knotty Craft Kreations (who does excellent work, and is having a HUGE sale right now on her collapsible hoops-only $20 which includes shipping.) but it's heavier and non-collapsible so I kind of like it.

I'm also happy that I've started reading again.  I read 3 books just in the last half of April, and now I'm excited to double that for May.  Also, look forward to a book swap hosted by the lovely Beth and Me very soon... :)

How was your weekend?
What are you happy about this week?
