Happy List & Catch Up

First off, I've been sick so I missed a bunch of posts and updates last week.  I spent Friday down with a bad cough (missed work and had to use another sick day-I've used way too many already this year) and then I missed work Monday because I was up sick-to-my-stomach all night.  Blech.  I'm not taking a sick day, just going to work 10 hour days the rest of the week to make up time.

I guess I should start by saying that I'm happy I seem to be on the mend.  Still have a cough (blame the asthma) but otherwise okay.

I'm happy that after I felt well enough to get off the couch, I went to Ortie's birthday party and it was really fun! Then I got to go spend the night at Kristina's house (which I love) and spend quality time with Ken and Courtney too!

I'm happy that Kristina and I went to see Heather and Jaxson on Sunday.  It's been over a year almost that I've seen them, and they're both so adorable!  Jax is huge, and Heather is 19 weeks along with a little girl-but you'd never tell-she's so skinny!

I'm happy that I have my prizes all purchased for the Fun Bus on the 14th.  I'll have to make sure to get them put together soon!

I'm happy that Julie gets random cravings that result in us running to the grocery store for supplies to make dinner together.  She wanted German food, so I made brats and sauerkraut and she made German Pancakes for dessert last week.

After eating the German food we went to walk Jon's dog because he was working a double.  We also took David's Husky out with us, and it was so fun! :) I'm happy I get to feed the puppy hungry with friend's dogs for the time being.

What is making you happy this week?

  1. Sorry you have been so sick! At least you are starting to feel better though. That's great that you were able to go see close friends. I've never had German food before, haha. Sounds like you had a good time, even with being sick!

  3. Mmm I love sauerkraut! And I totally feel you on the cough. I have asthma, too. It's so much worse for us than others when we get a cold. Feel better soon!
