Christmas #1 Recap

I know, I know... 

I disappeared for a while, so this is late.

But here's how my Christmas went.

A few days before Christmas: My friend Melaniegrace came and spent the evening with me.  We went and saw burlesque, and I gave her an xmas gift.

Christmas eve: I woke up early and rushed to get ready. I laid out flour in all the doorways (to try and catch the missing snake) and then loaded all the Christmas gifts for my family in the car. Ran to Walgreens to print out some photos (I gave my mother & Kristina a picture frame filled with family pics) but found my CD didn't work... Frantically ran home to put the pictures on a jump drive, back to Walgreens to print them, and after waiting in line, buying coffee/breakfast, I ended up being about 45 minutes late for work.At work I finished my mother's gift, and after work I went to my parent's house where I spent the night.

Christmas Morning: Woke up at about 5am (parents were talking in the kitchen) then had breakfast with the family (Dad's homemade biscuits and gravy-YUM!) and then did present opening after that.

After presents I had to quickly get ready and go into work for a few hours.  I worked from 11am to 3pm, and then rushed to my grandmother's for Christmas Dinner.  After dinner and some chatting (I stayed about one and a half hours) I hurried home to finish putting together Kristina's gift, wrap the rest of the gifts, and load the car to head up North.  First stop was Heather's house.

After staying at their house for just over an hour, and after many phone calls saying "WHERE ARE YOU?!?!?" I finally made my way towards my last stop of the journey-Kristina's house.

Me: What is it?
Kailee: YOU MAKE COOKIES WITH THIS!!!

12 Days of Chrismas (WAY LATE!)

Well howdy friends!

Fancy meeting you here-it's been a while.

I kind of disappeared for a few days.

I wish I could say I've returned rejuvenated and less burnt out, but oh well.

I am SO late posting this, but here it is. 

I recently did the 12 Days of Christmas swap, and Beth was my partner.

She sent a beautiful package with the gifts wrapped in fabric.

On the first day of Christimas:

How cute is that?

On the second day of Christmas:

[a cupcake recipe book]

I have so much love for this book. 

I've already used it! :) 

On the third day of Christmas:

 [a 'defense of coffee' mug]

This is great, I love reading it!

On the fourth day of Christmas:

[holiday lip balms]

These are great, my favorite is the Gumdrop flavor.

On the fifth day of Christmas:

[spell book on turning ex boyfriend's into toads]

Hmmm... I may have to consider this...

On the sixth day of Christmas:

[a recipe box with cupcakes on it!]

Live SHOULD be sweet, and we all know I LOVE cupcakes!

On the seventh day of Christmas:

[cookies in a jar book]

So plan to use this! Next Christmas is set! 

On the eighth day of Christmas:

[cupcake papers]

Such cute little Christmas-y ones! 

On the ninth day of Christmas:

[coffee!]

YUM! She knows me, and this coffee is great! 

On the tenth day of Christmas:

 [cupcake earings]

These are my FAVORITE! She also made them herself.

See, I'm wearing them!

On the eleventh day of Christmas:

[peppermint mocha creamer]

This is SO yummy, I had it in my coffee already!

On the 12th day of Christmas:

[live love and craft coffee mug]

And Beth was SO sweet, and sent an extra gift! 

[a beautiful handmade apron]

Just look at that fabric! So adorable!
