Hello.
My name is Angie and I'm a book-a-holic.
(You: Hello Angie.)
My name is Angie and I'm a book-a-holic.
(You: Hello Angie.)
I have an addiction to buying books.
Even when I have a pile of books at home I haven't read yet.
Bookstores are like heaven to me.
Big money-sucking wallet-emptying heaven.
Do you know how many times I have to tell myself NO in B&N?
About 152 times per visit. At least.
Apparently it's still not enough times to stick.
Because I went in the other day just to get a gift;
and walked out with two for myself...
Yep, I'm an addict.
Also, I received my book swap books from Chloe!
Big reveal and link-up tomorrow.
Excited? I am!
Are you a book-a-holic?
What books are you reading currently?
I really want to know!

June Advertising Sale:
I just finished rereading The Perks of Being a Wallflower.
ReplyDeleteHi Angie! My name is Beth and I'm a Book-A-Holic. I avoid book retailers like the plague. BUT I go to local used book stores every week. I tell myself it's OK because I'm supporting small businesses and the local economy, and I always grab something on sale to send to a friend or random RAK person....but I also buy something (or many things) for myself. And I could put that money toward groceries, or savings account, or repaying my school loans maybe a month earlier than currently scheduled. But books make me HAPPY.
ReplyDelete*sigh*
*hugs*
You're not alone.
you must read the glass castle! and the memory keepers daughter! i'm obsessed w b&n too!!
ReplyDeleteI am reading Snow Flower & the Secret Fan by Lisa See, and I love it! I'm a sucker for bookstores too. I especially like used bookstores (we have so many in the Bay Area) where I can indulge in buying books I don't need, but not even spend much money!
ReplyDeleteI try to stay out of B&N but I'm a sucker for thrift stores and yard sale books! I have stacks to read but like you it never stops me from adding to my TBR pile! I just finished Driftwood Summer by Patti Callahan Henry!
ReplyDeleteI too am a total book-a-holic. I can not go into B&N and not come out with something...usually more than one though! Although I have a kindle, I could never resist a good, old-fashioned book, feeling the pages between my fingers, and smelling the book as I read ( am i the only one who does that? I love the smell of books!) is irreplaceable to me.
ReplyDeleteI am currently reading 2 books... The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin, which is awesome, and is something I want to implement in my own life. This book sits on my nightstand and I read a section or two before bed.
But the book I have been reading nonstop is....
The Dirty Life by Kristin Kimball, which is a fantastic book that is hard to put down!
OMG I'm glad someone is just like me. The boy doesn't understand the book addiction. I have so many that I will never read, but I just love buying them. I loved Abe Lincoln Vampire Hunter, its one of my top 5 ever! I'm reading The House at Tyneford and Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I'm a book-a-holic myself. Now it's a bit easier to manage because I have a Kindle, but they offer free books there and I am forever cruising to see what available. I love wandering the book store but it's so dangerous to the wallet.
